Deer Creek Beef and Maryland's Best

Marylands_best_2
Deer Creek Beef is proud to be partnered with the Maryland's Best website. It is an online resource to help you connect with the best local products from Maryland's farmers--from meat, produce, seafood, and specialty foods to grains, nursery items, and ag-recreational activities.  Be sure to check out their website and round off one of our fantastic Deer Creek Beef main dishes with some local produce, grains and coffee.

It's already March, which means Spring is just around the corner. It seems we get the feel of the warm sun on our backs at least once a week. And with the coming of Spring, is the coming of the Bel Air Farmers' Market. The market opens on April 12, so get your grill ready and we'll see you there!

In the meantime, our beef is available year-round at The Mill of Bel Air.  The in-store freezer features a full selection of Deer Creek Beef steaks, roasts and ground beef – the same cuts and the same prices as you’ll find at the market. And these waning chilly days are perfect for comfort foods and slow cooking. Your favorite recipe for brisket, pot roast, stew, chili or soup will be even better when you start with our locally-raised, dry aged beef. Need a quick meal? Try our heat-and-serve beef barbecue or our ever-popular burger patties. (Check The Mill’s website or call 410-838-6111 for hours and directions.)

::Why Our Beef Tastes So Good::

  • We start with our delicious, farm-raised beef, then make it even better!
    • Young, tender, corn-fed Angus beef.
    • Aged at least 21 days to enhance flavor and tenderness
    • Vacu-packed and frozen to safely preserve the quality.

::Wholesome & Safe::

  • No unknowns with our beef. We are involved in every phase of producing healthy cattle and exceptional beef.
    • Both farms meet strict standards for the humane treatment of animals. Caring for animals is an important part of our lives.
    • Our cowherds thrive on grass and hay in carefully managed pastures; cattle are "finished" on locally grown corn.
    • No added growth hormones, no feed antibiotics
    • No animal proteins or by-products in the feed.
    • Small groups of cattle are processed with care in small, Federally Inspected plants.

::Good For Your Community::

  • Your support of local agriculture is good for you, your community, your environment and small family farms.
    • Our families have been raising cattle for three generations or more on these Harford County farms.
    • Both farms are recognized leaders in conservation, farmland preservation, and environmental stewardship.
    • We're your neighbors and partners in the local community.
